NEUTRON, GAMMA AND BETA
IRRADIATORS

Atomic Energy Research Institute (KFKI-AEKI), Budapest

The laboratory (called Pavilon) is used for calibration and testing radiation detectors and instruments. It is equipped with sealed radioactive sources as listed in the Table below. The radiation fields are calibrated with instruments and detectors verified (authenticated) by the Hungarian National Office of Measures, including ion chambers, TL and track detectors and gold activation foils.
