PGAA Lab practice for students of ELTE University

The Nuclear Research department offers lab practices since 1998 for undergraduate chemist and physicist students. They can become familiar with the principles and the practical aspects of prompt-gamma activation analysis, by analysing a standard reference material. A new lab guide in PDF format is available for download, presently only in Hungarian.

Lab practice for nuclear engineering students of BME University

For undergraduate nuclear engineer students of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, we offer an other course more related to nuclear phisics. The task is to determine very simple level schemes for carbon and beryllium using prompt-gamma spectra and variuos literature sources. C and Be have only a few gamma-transitions, so they are adequate to demonstrate the principles. A lab guide can be downloaded here.
