The accelerator can operate at extremely high dose per pulse values and the optical detection system has an exceptional good baseline stability in the long (ms) time range. A further speciality of the setup that the transfer of light from the irradiation room to the measuring room is by means of a light guide which gives enhanced versatility at designing the experiments.
